This Privacy Policy explains how HB Motors ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website or contact us through it. We are a small vehicle showroom based in Dumaguete City, Philippines, and this policy is written to comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

1. Information we collect

Most of what we collect is information you choose to give us, plus a few technical details needed to run the site. This includes:

• Your name, phone number, and email address, when you submit an inquiry, book a showroom viewing, or request a motorcycle rental.
• Any message, notes, or preferred date/time you include with an inquiry, appointment, or rental request — for rentals, this includes your requested start and end dates.
• Basic technical information automatically recorded by our web server (such as pages visited and browser type), used only for keeping the site secure and functioning correctly.
• Your IP address, kept for up to two days when you send a form, so we can limit repeated submissions and spam. Sign-in attempts to our staff area are recorded the same way.
• Visitor statistics, counted by this website itself (see “Visitor statistics” below).
• One session cookie that keeps forms secure. See our Cookie Policy. The homepage can play videos from our Facebook page, but only after you press play; until then nothing is sent to Facebook. Links to Facebook and Messenger, including the buttons for sharing a vehicle, take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Visitor statistics

To learn which vehicles people look at and how they find us, this website counts page visits on its own server. We don’t use Google Analytics or any other outside analytics service, and no cookies are used for this. For each page you open, we record:

• the page or vehicle you viewed, and the date and time;
• where you came from, as a site name only (for example “Facebook” or “Google”), or “direct” if you typed the address;
• whether you are on a phone, tablet, or computer (from your screen size);
• an anonymous visitor code, so one person is counted once per day. It is made from your IP address and browser type mixed with a random value that is replaced every day and then deleted. Your IP address itself is not stored, and the code can’t be traced back to you or used to follow you from one day to the next.

These statistics are kept for about 13 months, are seen only by our staff, and are never shared or used for advertising. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, your visits are not counted at all.

The website’s fonts are stored on our own server, so opening a page doesn’t contact Google or any other font service.

If a rental is confirmed, we separately collect the ID and driver's license details required by our Rental Terms at pickup — this happens in person, not through this website, and is kept only for the rental period and our own record-keeping requirements.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and this site is intended for adults shopping for a vehicle.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiries about a vehicle and to schedule showroom viewings.
• To contact you by phone, SMS, email, or Messenger about your request.
• To maintain internal records of inquiries and appointments for our own operations.
• To keep the website secure and prevent abuse of our contact forms.
• To understand, in summary form, which vehicles and pages are popular and how visitors find us, so we can improve the website and our listings.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing to third parties.

3. Sharing of information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

• With staff at HB Motors who need it to respond to your inquiry or appointment.
• When required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or government request.
• With service providers that help us run this website (for example, web hosting), who are only permitted to use your data to provide that service to us.

4. How long we keep your information

We keep inquiry, appointment, and rental records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and for our own business and legal record-keeping (including, for rentals, any deposit or damage matters), after which we periodically review and delete or anonymize records we no longer need — generally within 24 months of your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required for an unresolved matter or by law.

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your personal data is processed.
• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated personal data.
• Request deletion or blocking of your personal data, subject to legal or legitimate business retention requirements.
• Object to the processing of your personal data.
• Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
